I first met Jen in a kickboxing instructor training class. We hit it off right away and started practicing our jabs, punches, and kicks together. Little did I know, that Ms Fit, was also a brainiac! Jen has her PhD in Bioinformatics and works at the prestigious National Institutes of Health! Here is her profile:

1. Where did you go to college and what did you study?

Which one? Just kidding. My first BS degree was from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Biology. My second BS degree was from the University of Maryland, University College (UMUC) in Computer and Information Science.

2. Do you do any further schooling after your undergraduate degree? Any certifications?

Yes. I went to grad school and got a Masters of Science in Biotechnology with a concentration in Bioinformatics from John Hopkins University and then a PhD from George Mason University
